Every dress features 360° 3D cutting for a naturally voluminous, crinoline‑free silhouette. We use skin‑friendly cotton linings, premium tulles and satins, Japanese YKK zippers, and hand‑finished safety details—all meeting international safety standards.
2. Can I commission a truly unique bespoke dress?
Absolutely. Bespoke customization is the core soul of HANAKIMI. We offer two paths:
Full Bespoke Service: From fabric and design to precise measurements, creating a completely unique heirloom piece.
Ready-to-Wear Precision Adjustments: If you love a ready-to-wear design but need size modifications, our artisans can achieve a perfect fit by adjusting the internal structure without altering the external design.
To Start a Bespoke Order: Please do not add notes at checkout. All requests must be discussed in advance via email at custom@hanakimikids.com. Please confirm the proposal before placing your order.
3. How soon will my order ship after purchase? What are the delivery times?
Dispatching: Due to the handmade and bespoke nature of our pieces, standard orders are dispatched within 1 week after confirmation.
Shipping Origins: We ship from our warehouses in the UK, USA, or China to optimize efficiency and speed.
Delivery Timelines:
From UK/US warehouse: Approximately 3-7 business days.
From China warehouse: International shipping takes approximately 4-21 business days (depending on destination customs policies).
Tracking: You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number once your order is shipped.
4. How can I request a rush order or check my order status?
If you require an expedited order, please contact us at orders@hanakimikids.com before placing your order, specifying the item and your desired timeframe. General order status inquiries can also be sent to this email.
5. How do I choose the right size for my child?
We recommend the following:
Use height as the primary reference. If your child's height is between two sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size.
Measure your child's chest and waist. Ensure the dress size is 4-6 cm larger than their actual body measurements for comfort and ease of movement.
If your child has a unique body shape, we strongly recommend contacting us at custom@hanakimikids.com for bespoke services, or consulting our free precision adjustment service at service@hanakimikids.com after purchasing a ready-to-wear piece.
6. How should I properly clean and care for the dress?
Formal Attire & European-style Hats
- Use mild detergent.
- Wash at 35–40°C.
- Iron at low to medium heat.
- Do not tumble dry or use chlorine bleach.
- Avoid prolonged soaking.
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Wash dark and light colors separately.
Note: Due to eco-friendly plant-based dyes, darker or brighter colors may release some dye during the first few washes. This is normal.
Help protect the planet: Please wash less frequently.
Special Fabrics Care
Ramie/Ramie Products:
- Use mild detergent at 35–40°C.
- Turn inside out and wash gently to avoid damage.
- Air dry away from sun; do not tumble dry.
- Steam iron at low heat only; avoid medium/high heat.
- Store flat in a dry, clean place.
Silk & Satin:
- Avoid contact with sharp objects to prevent snags.
- Dry flat in shade; do not expose to direct sunlight.
Wool Products:
- Dry cleaning is recommended.
If hand washing at home:
- Remove any accessories.
- Soak in cold water for 10–20 minutes (wool shrinks above 30°C).
- Use wool-specific detergent and gently squeeze (do not rub). If machine washing, use a gentle cycle below 40°C.
- Rinse thoroughly and press out water (do not wring).
- Dry flat in shade.
- Fabric softener may be used for softness and anti-static. Steam ironing is suitable.
7. What is your return and exchange policy?
Given the handmade, hygienic, and often bespoke nature of our products, our policy is as follows:
Standard Full-Price Items: We accept returns within 7 days (items must be new, unworn, unwashed, with all tags intact). Upon approval, we will provide store credit of equal value.
Final Sale Items: All sale/discounted items, orders placed using promotional codes, and any bespoke/personalized orders are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Exchanges & Price Adjustments: We do not offer direct exchanges or price protection.
8. What should I do if I don't receive my package or if there is a flaw with the item?
Shipping Issues: If the tracking information shows an anomaly, please first contact your local post office with the tracking number. We are here to assist you in following up if needed.
Quality/Flaw Issues: Please immediately take clear photos and contact our customer care team at service@hanakimikids.com.
9. I have not received my package, what do I do?

4. Why are we proud of our brand?
In 2015, we were fortunate enough to find a third-generation artisanal tailor in Shanghai, China. This family has been making custom-made garments in the foreign concessions of Shanghai, once known as the Paris of the East, for a century.
We have always upheld the rigorous craftsmanship of traditional techniques, integrated the trends of contemporary fashion, and embedded this spirit of striving for excellence into every garment of our brand.
